Langriville Parish Annual Council Meeting

13th May 2025 7pm

Langrick Village Hall.

In attendance Vice Chairman Cllr Ashleigh-Morris, Cllr David Marshall, Cllr Perryman, Cllr Reynolds, Cllr Eales, Cllr Roome, District Cllr Ashton And District Cllr Jones & Cllr Eales.

 

Agenda

5.01     Election of Chairman –

In the election of chairman it was proposed by Cllr Chalmers to nominate Cllr Ashleigh-Morris this was seconded by Cllr Roome. The council received no other nominations RESOLVED.

5.02      Election of Chairman –

In the election of vice chairman, Chairman Ashleigh-Morris nominated Cllr Marshall this was seconded by Cllr Chalmers. The council received no other nominations RESOLVED.

5.03    Apologies for absence and reasons given

The council received no apologies of absence

5.04      Co-option of Councillor –

There was no Co-option onto the council as all vacancies are currently filled

5.05      Declarations of interest and requests for dispensations – in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 –

There were no declarations of interest in any of the points on the agenda.

5.06       Minutes June 11th June 2025 previously distributed to Councillors - resolution to adopt as minutes.

Minutes written for the meeting held on the 11th of June 2025 which was previously distributed to councillors were accepted and adopted as the minutes. RESOLVED.

5.07      Reports from District Cllrs Tom Ashton and District Cllr Neil Jones.

District councillor Tom Ashton reported that due to the recent election he no longer is a county councillor but remains a district Cllr and has access to grants in regards to this he now is unable to help with highways and speeding but he's still very much involved with drainage. Cllr Ashton wishes to thank all within the council on the parish for making him feel welcome and part of the community and it holds a special place in his heart.

District Cllr Neil Jones reported on the new food waste collection rolling out in east Lindsey that residents would receive a new box that would be collected weekly. In regards to grants both Cllr Ashton and Cllr Jones have a few grunts available to help support projects within the Parish.

 

  1.    Finance

Finance all payments beside insurance were accepted council request a re quote for the insurance which the clerk will do

 

5.09    Diocese update – an update on the current position with the rental of Langrick Hall.

In regards to the diocese update Chairman Ashley-Morris reports she has spoken to another member of the diocese Mr Drummond-Hut he was most helpful and is inquiring about the council's opportunity to purchase the hall currently the local asset application is still ongoing. Chairman Ashleigh-Morris and district Cllr Ashton plan to attend a meeting with this gentleman. There is a £10 million funding available which may assist the parish in this purchase.

Chairman Ashleigh-Morris also reports that the cleaner for the whole has not yet managed to be sorted but this will be a priority, report it also hey handyman who is able to do the grass cutting within the parish and two maintain and plant the tubs within the parish Cllr Ashleigh-Morris will visit Hilldykece nurseries for flowers for these.

Chairman Ashleigh-Morris also discussed the possibility of having extra meetings potentially 10A year to miss August and to miss January The council agreed to revisit this once we know our position within the purchase of the hall and the increase in community projects and events held at the Hall.
