- Welcome to all from Chairman
- Councillors invited Nigel Standage to introduce himself, Nigel had applied by email for the vacant seat on the Council having lived in the village for 14 years working as a theatre nurse at the Pilgrim Hospital; Cllr David Marshall proposed co-option seconded by Cllr Jones all voted in favour RESOLVED – Nigel had a copy of the acceptance of office and signed at the meeting, to be returned to the clerk – DPI will be completed and sent to East Lindsey. Chairman welcomed Cllr Standage to the virtual table.
- Apologies and reasons received from Cllr Joy Cawthorn, Cllr John Wood. Proposal to accept these reasons, all voted in favour RESOLVED
- No declarations of interest
- Notes previously circulated from the meeting held 7th September 2020 proposed Cllr D Marshall as a true and correct record of the meeting, seconded Cllr C Daft all voted in favour RESOLVED
- Speed Indicator – these have not been deployed during the lockdown; Cllr C Daft proposed to look at this again in the New Year, seconded Cllr D Marshall, all in favour RESOLVED
- Community Fibre – the build is underway properties are being surveyed, this was confirmed Cllr Standage as one of the 48 properties signed up had a visit from Open Reach the previous week. The build will include some overhead lines and some underground dependant on location; Council look forward seeing the results of this work.
- Armtree Road Junction – the lamppost is in situ, date for activation is 5th November, unfortunately there has been another accident which damaged a BT pole the Armtree Rd name plate and a highways sign all have been reported with requests for replacement asap. Chairman requested County Cllr Tom Ashton to investigate the road signage for the junction that was promised over a year ago.
- District Councillor Neil Jones – the move to a joint group with Boston Borough seems to be working well, freeing up more funds and utilising officer time. County Councillor Tom Ashton – County have released a little more funding for COVID related issues details are on the website alternatively he can be contacted for information.
- Planning application two dwellings on Gipsey Drove s/096/01826/20 proposal to Support this application, seconded all in favour RESOLVED
- St Margarets Church Langrick – request for help with paying for grounds maintenance – Cllr Jones proposed a sum of £50 , no seconder; Cllr Marshall proposed a sum of £200 be paid annually to the Church, seconded Cllr C Daft, Cllr Jones retracted his proposal. All voted in favour RESOLVED to pay £200
- Finances Proposal to pay all invoices as listed and approve retrospective payments. RESOLVED: Diocese lease for hall £52, labour painting call box £440; paint £90 Salary Oct/Nov £330.40, HMRC Oct/Nov £83.20,Fire safety £22.02;, Poppy wreath donation £25, Grass cutting village £75.
- Budget proposals suggested – after much discussion it was Proposed Cllr C Jones to reduce the budget by £2,000 and set the Precept for 2021/22 @ £8,000. Seconded Cllr Marshall: all voted in favour RESOLVED
- No additions for next meeting – hopeful to be able to meet face to face in January meeting date set 11th January – format to be confirmed.
Clerk had received a message from Cllr Paula Cooper during the meeting she was unable to log on to the meeting.
