1.11 Welcome from Chairman Cllr John Wood
2.11 Apologies and reasons heard from Cllr Marshall, Cllr Standage, District Cllr Ashton and District Cllr Jones, all had previous engagements.
3.11 Draft Notes previously circulated were proposed as a true and correct record of the meeting held on the 5th September 2023, Chairman Cllr John Wood, seconded Cllr Ashleigh-Morris, all voted in favour RESOLVED Minutes were signed and date by Chairman.
4.11 Reports – District and County Council – In District Cllr Ashtons absence Cllr Ashleigh-Morris was able to provide an update. There has advances with the devolution discussions, Cllr Ashleigh-Morris also reported on the additional money that has been allocated towards road repairs within the District.
5.11 Finance – resolution for payments shown to date – Salary September £325, Salary October £325, Salary November £325, Salary Backdated - £192.85, HMRC - £231.81, £78.57, J Roberts grass cutting £120, British Gas September £28.65, October £36.14, November £91.80, Anglian Water September £5, October £5, November £5 RESOLVED.
6.11 Flood prevention & sand bags – there have been concerns from residents about flooding in the area, flooding appears to be coming from field not the river. Councillors discussed requiring additional sandbags for the parish. Chairman Cllr Wood has suggested the purchase of additional sandbags. Cllr Ashleigh-Morris to inquire about sandbags and sand. Further details to follow.
7.11 Christmas Tree and updated decorations – councillors discussed the purchase of a Christmas tree for the hall. Chairman Cllr Wood proposed purchase of a tree. Seconded Cllr Perryman. RESOLVED.
8.11 Speed indicators – Cllr Perryman related concerns from a concerned member of the public about speed through Antons Gowt. High speeds believed to be causing cracks in houses. Cllr Perryman had drafted a survey to deliver around Antons Gowt to ask the residents their opinions on this matter. Cllr Perryman proposed completing the survey, and delivering to residents. Seconded by Cllr Ashleigh-Morris. RESOLVED
Further to the discussion regarding speed within the parish Chairman Cllr Wood had requested the clerk obtain a pro forma for a solar powered speed indicator for the parish previously. Chairman Cllr Wood proposed getting a pro forma for the purchase of two speed signs to be brought to the next meeting. Seconded Cllr Perryman. RESOLVED.
9.11.1 Clerks report on any correspondence not covered above – Clerk reported the Royal British Legion required a donation for the poppy wreath, and that the church had requested funds for ground maintenance to be deferred and put on to the next agenda for discussion.
